Grade 5 Scholarship Exam - 2016

St.Joseph Vaz College recorded the highest pass rate for the grade 5 scholarship exam in 2016 in it’s history. Inesh Chandrasiri got a third place in the island ranking with 194 marks while three other student were able to stay in the first ten places of the district ranking. St.Joseph Vaz College achieved this with the guidance of the principal Rev. Fr. Priyanjeewa Gunarathne and thanks to the former principal Rev. Fr. Benet Shantha’s 2 years of well planned education process lead with the dedication of grade 5 teachers. 73 students passed the exam while holding the record for passing 21 students, 50% pass rate from one class in the district.
