Felicitation Ceremony was held to appreciate the unvaluable service of two teachers who recieved transfers namely Mrs.Pushpa Ekanayake and Mr.Sajith Jayasekara. Mr.Sajith Jayasekara served the college for thirteen (13) years.Mrs.Pushpa Ekanayake served the college for 23 years.
Also two acadamic heroes who achieved acadamic excellance in G.C.E. A/L -2017 were also fecilitated.Master Hasith Geeth Gunasinghe achieved second place in the Island in Biological stream and it is a historical landmark in the history of St.Joseph Vaz College.This is the best acadamic achievement.Also Master Kaveesha Yalegama achieved district second in the Math stream was also felicitated.
Today as a gift Master Hasith recieved a modern laptop computer from the OBA Milano branch Italy and Rev.Fr.Principal thanked Milano OBA for their generous contribution of one hundred fifty thousand rupees (Rs.150,000) for the computer.Also OBA Australia (Rs.12,000), the main OBA (Rs.10,000) and junior OBA (Rs.5000) and college too donated financial gifts for these two students.
Rev.Fr.Principal and the managment commitee rememberd with gratitude the members of above mentioned OBAs for their generous support.
